  • Intersect Theatre @ Palm Springs Convention Center (East Entrance on N Avenida Caballeros) 277 North Avenida Caballeros Palm Springs, CA, 92262 United States (map)

Larry Kagan, Tricycle, 2022, steel and shadow, 29 x 25 x 12.5 in, Thomas Paul Fine Art

Larry Kagan, an accomplished American sculptor, transcends conventional artistic boundaries by utilizing steel, casting light, and manipulating shadows as his creative medium. Through intricate winding and welding of steel wires, Kagan skillfully "draws" with shadows, placing emphasis not on the abstract mass of wires but on the captivating shadows that come to life when exposed to light. His diverse subjects range from figures and objects to animals and geometric planes.

A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. and holding an M.A. in Studio Arts from the State University of New York at Albany, Kagan's artistic prowess has garnered recognition both nationally and internationally. His work finds a place in numerous esteemed private and public collections, including the Flint Institute of the Arts in Flint, MI, the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, OH, and the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, CA, among others. Explore the mesmerizing world of Larry Kagan's artistry.

Larry Kagan is represented by Thomas Paul Fine Art. This event is open to all ticket holders, but space is limited. Please RSVP below.
