  • MARLOE GALLERY, BOOTH 415 @ Palm Springs Convention Center 277 North Avenida Caballeros Palm Springs, CA, 92262 United States (map)

Steven Lustig, Composition in Cubes I, 2020, Carrara marble, black granite, 21 x 6 x 6 in, Marloe Gallery

Steven Lustig derives inspiration from his profound appreciation for the human form and its innate grace in motion. Having embarked on his artistic journey at the age of four, Lustig's life took a transformative turn at eighteen when he received a copy of Grey's Anatomy, sparking a lifelong dedication to drawing human anatomy for both business and fine art. Rooted in the ancient tradition of human anatomy, dating back to the Greeks who revered the human form as the pinnacle of artistic pursuit, Lustig's sculptures seamlessly blend classical influences with a modern twist. Drawing on the legacy of Kouros figures and the Italian Renaissance, his creations are also enriched by the avant-garde spirit of Italian Futurists Umberto Boccioni and Giacomo Balla. Each sculpture is a product of meticulous life drawing, capturing the essence of human motion and internal energy through live observation. With a unique fusion of ancient and contemporary elements, Lustig's works eloquently portray the fluidity and emotional depth of beautiful human beings. Over the past twelve years, he has honed his skills in sculpting stone and has produced over 10,000 figurative art drawings. Lustig's impressive body of work has been showcased in galleries across the western United States and featured in art fairs throughout the country.

Steven Lustig is represented by Marloe Gallery. This event is open to all ticket holders.
