Investigations: Zombie Forest

Curated by Sant Khalsa and Andi Campognone

Curated by artist, educator and activist, Sant Khalsa, and Andi Campognone, Director of the Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH), Investigations: Zombie Forest presents an introduction to the forthcoming exhibition at the Museum of Art and History (MOAH) in Lancaster, California from September 14, 2024 – December 29, 2024. The curatorial project focuses on the plight of the unique and iconic Joshua trees and the vital and sensitive Mojave Desert ecosystem that supports them. Zombie Forest explores diverse ideas, depicting Joshua trees and their habitat in a variety of media, approaches, and styles by established and emerging artists that spotlight the endangered Joshua tree whose survival is threatened by climate change, as well as development, industrial solar and wind, and wildfires.

This exhibition created for Intersect Palm Springs will feature artworks by a select group of artists included in the MOAH exhibition.
