The Artist Profile Archive, in partnership with Intersect Palm Springs, presents the West Coast premier of the documentary, Present History, on acclaimed contemporary artist Robert Longo, directed by Sophie Chahinian. The film, told in the artist’s own words, captures insights into Longo’s recent exhibitions A History of the Present at Guild Hall, and I do fly / After summer merrily, his inaugural show at Pace Gallery. Using these two exhibitions as a backdrop, Longo reflects upon the nature of the work he has created to date, and shares his vision for his future.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Robert Longo and Sophie Chahinian, founder of The Artist Profile Archive, moderated by Hunter Drohojowska-Philp.
